Round Brilliant Diamonds

The round brilliant is the most enduring — and most brilliant — of all diamond cuts. Its 57 or 58 precisely angled facets are engineered to return the maximum amount of light to the eye, which is why it accounts for the majority of engagement rings and remains the benchmark against which every other shape is judged.

Every round brilliant in the VHENY collection is GIA- or HRD-certified and offered at Antwerp wholesale price. Because a round loses more rough in the cutting than any other shape, cut grade matters most here — see our guide to the four Cs before you choose.

Good to know

Frequently asked

Why are round brilliant diamonds more expensive?
A round brilliant sacrifices more of the rough crystal in cutting than any other shape, and its faceting is the most demanding to execute — so for the same carat weight and quality it typically carries a premium. VHENY offsets this with direct Antwerp wholesale pricing.
What cut grade should I look for in a round diamond?
In a round brilliant, cut is the C that most affects sparkle. We recommend Excellent (GIA) or equivalent, with strong symmetry and polish, so the stone returns light evenly.
