Oval Diamonds

The oval is a brilliant-cut shape with the fire of a round and a softly elongated silhouette that flatters the finger and can make a stone look larger than its carat weight suggests. It has become one of the most requested shapes for contemporary engagement rings.

Each oval in the collection is GIA- or HRD-certified. When choosing an oval, watch the length-to-width ratio and the "bow-tie" — a shadow across the centre that a well-cut stone keeps to a minimum.

Frequently asked

Do oval diamonds look bigger than round diamonds?
Yes — because an oval spreads its weight across a longer outline, an oval of the same carat weight often appears slightly larger than a round when viewed from above.
What is the ideal length-to-width ratio for an oval?
Most buyers prefer a ratio between 1.35 and 1.50, but it is a matter of taste. We are happy to guide you through the options in the showroom or by video.
